The service

Our approach to
App Store & Extension Listings

If you publish an app, a browser extension, a plugin or an open-source package, there are platforms Google already trusts where your product can hold a permanent listing. We write and submit those listings properly, including the store copy, categories, screenshots, developer profile and links back to you. They act as proof of identity rather than raw authority: they confirm that your business exists and what it does, in places crawlers and AI tools check early. On their own they will not move a competitive keyword, and we tell you that up front.

Common blockers

Where this kind of work usually gets stuck

Problems that show up again and again when we first look at an account. Our plan is built to deal with each one.

Your product exists but no trusted platform lists it

You have shipped an app, an extension or a package, yet the stores and registries search engines already trust have no record of it. A listing creates that record.

Each platform shows a different company name

One store shows the numbered Ontario corporation, another shows the trading name and the support link goes to an old subdomain. To a crawler, that can look like two companies.

Registry entries nobody finished

An npm or PyPI page with no homepage, no repository and a one-line description typed in a rush at first publish.

AI assistants skip tools they cannot confirm

When someone asks a chatbot for a recommendation, it leans toward tools it can tie to a real company. Uncertainty pushes it toward a competitor.

How we keep the work accountable

Before work starts, we agree on the number that matters most to you. Each sprint is planned against it. You get a short recorded update every week and a dashboard you can open any time, and the senior lead joins every call.

  • A senior lead runs your account from day one
  • A recorded walkthrough each week and a shared reporting dashboard
  • We work inside the tools and CMS your team already uses
  • Target ranges written into the agreement before we begin

Our Process

Four stages of App Store & Extension Listings

The same order every time: find the constraint, plan, deliver, then review. Here is what each stage involves.

01

Backlink Gap Review

A senior analyst compares your backlink profile with the competitors ranking above you and flags harmful links that may be holding you back. You come away with a realistic sense of the gap and what closing it involves.

02

Targets and Story Ideas

We assemble a checked list of relevant publications, including Canadian trade and regional outlets, and develop data-led story ideas your industry cares about. Prospects are scored on real readership and topic fit, never on a domain metric alone.

03

Pitch and Place

Our team sends personalized pitches, answers journalist requests and runs digital PR, aiming for placements on sites with genuine editorial review. Link networks and private blog farms are off the table.

04

Check and Report

Each live link is screenshotted, checked for follow status and added to your dashboard with its referring traffic. A weekly recorded update covers new placements and any ranking changes they help drive.

01Treat the store page as a landing page
The listing

Treat the store page as a landing page

Three audiences read a store listing: the store’s own search, outside crawlers and a shopper deciding from a title, two lines and a few screenshots. The category you choose decides where you appear when people browse. The optional fields most publishers skip are a cheap advantage. We write each listing for its store and submit it, using the same legal name, support email and website URL that appear on your own site.

  • Google Play and App Store copy written per store
  • Categories and keywords picked on purpose
  • Screenshots and previews of the real product
  • Publisher details matching your website
02Browser galleries and developer registries
Extensions and registries

Browser galleries and developer registries

Chrome and Firefox add-on galleries, plus registries like npm, PyPI, Packagist and crates.io, all have profile fields for homepage, repository, maintainer, licence and description. Most teams leave them empty. Completing them takes a few hours and ties each package clearly to your company. If your developers have published anything, those pages already exist. We make sure they say the right things.

  • Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons
  • Complete npm, PyPI, Packagist and crates.io profiles
  • Homepage, repository and maintainer links fixed
  • Cloud marketplace listings when you qualify
03What these listings can and cannot do
Where it stops

What these listings can and cannot do

Almost all of these links are nofollow, and on their own they will not lift you for a competitive search. Treat any vendor selling store submissions as a ranking tactic with caution. Their real job is making your company easy for machines to identify in the places they check first. That matters for knowledge panels and, more and more, for whether AI tools name you at all. We explain this before you buy.

  • Mostly nofollow, explained before purchase
  • Confirms identity; passes little authority
  • Supports knowledge panels and AI answers
  • Not offered when there is nothing to list

FAQs

Before you sign: common questions

Straight answers on scope, timing and how we report.

Do store listings help rankings directly?
Rarely. The links are nearly always nofollow. They help by confirming that your company and product are real, which search engines and AI tools look for before describing you.
We have no app. Does this apply to us?
Possibly not, and we will say so. Some companies have more than they realize, such as a browser extension, a plugin for a platform their customers use, an open-source library or eligibility for a cloud marketplace.
What do you need from us?
Access to your developer or publisher accounts, the product images you already have and someone who can confirm the legal name, support email and pricing. New accounts are created under your company’s name.
How does this relate to knowledge panels and AI answers?
Both rely on matching your company to a single, clear identity. Listings on trusted platforms are one of the least expensive ways to support that, which is why we run this alongside our entity work.
